About
As a not-for-profit Islamic private school, we strive to provide a comprehensive education that is rooted in the Islamic faith and values. We seek to foster a love of learning and a commitment to academic excellence, while instilling in our students the importance of compassion, empathy, and respect for all individuals. Our goal is to equip our students with the knowledge and skills they need to become responsible, productive, and well-rounded Muslim members of society. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where students can thrive and reach their full potential.
As an Islamic school, the Academy prides itself on embedding Islamic teachings and principles in every aspect of the school day. We aim to cultivate a love for the Islamic faith in our students so that they develop a healthy, life-long relationship with Allah (SBH) and his Creations.

We believe that since school is a child’s second home, it needs to be a place that our students look forward to visiting every day. For this reason, we pride ourselves on offering a safe, diverse, and stimulating environment that fosters a love for Allah (SBH) , our prophet and his household (pbut)in our children.
Al Haadi Academy recognizes the challenges that young Muslims face when navigating through the world.
Islamic-Centric Approach
Islamic-Centric Approach
- We inspire our students to start and end their day with a remembrance of Allah (SBH) through Dua and Quran recitations during our daily assemblies.
- In every class, our educators connect relevant Islamic concepts and teachings to the Ontario curriculum to ensure that our students have a holistic understanding of the material.
- Starting from Junior Kindergarten, our students learn how to recite and memorize verses from the Holy Quran through Quran classes. Our students also learn the meaning of these verses in their “Quran Teachings” classes.
- As early as Junior kindergartens, students are taught how to complete their daily prayers by leading and partaking in daily group prayers with fellow students.
- We celebrate all the Islamic holidays and commemorate days of Islamic significance with our students, whether through in-school activities or by hosting community events.
High-Quality Academics
High-Quality Academics
- We teach an enhanced version of English, Math, Science, and Social Studies in every grade.
- We equip students with the skills needed in an increasingly digitized world, such as website development and common computer applications such as Excel.
- We provide innovative learning opportunities that encourage collaboration amongst students through field trips, science labs, and life skills classes.
- We offer specialized language classes (French and Arabic) to students starting in junior kindergarten.
- We place a strong emphasis on our students’ reading, writing, analysis, and critical thinking skills starting in Junior Kindergarten.
- We nurture students’ creativity and imagination through Visual Arts classes, art competitions, and drama and Nasheed practice for community events.
Safe and Stimulating Environment
Safe and Stimulating Environment
- Large classrooms and a computer, art, and science lab that are equipped with resources that promote academic excellence and encourage our students’ curiosity and creativity.
- A dedicated prayer space for afternoon prayers that also inspires spiritual reflection and connection to Allah (SBH).
- An outdoor area with a playground, basketball court, and soccer field that provide our students with an outlet for their vibrant energy and ensure that they remain active and healthy.
- A spacious cafeteria and indoor gym that offer our students a well-deserved break from the classroom.
Forward-Thinking Approach
Forward-Thinking Approach
- At the Academy, we listen to our students, validate their struggles, and do not shy away from having honest conversations about what it means to be a Muslim in this day-and-age.
- We facilitate this by fostering a compassionate, judgement-free environment that encourages students to be inquisitive and ask questions, regardless of how difficult these questions may be.
- Our hope is that in doing so, our students will better understand their Islamic faith and feel proud of their identity as Muslim Canadians.
